For the next Maze outing we’re excited to announce we’ll be joining forces with locally based singer songwriter Kadjia Kamara, and her fast growing LADY venture – which after 3 years of events has developed into a well-known brand within London’s underground music scene that seeks to promote hard working female musicians and showcase some of the best new live and DJ talent emerging in the city. This has been achieved through a regular residency at the Finsbury in North London, numerous other parties and events around the city and even a dedicated festival (LADY fest – now in its 2nd year at Brixton pop).

Kadija herself identifies as an ‘Alternative soul songstress’ and as both a recording artist and performer has been riding the crest of a wave in 2019, having smashed out acclaimed performances at the likes of Greenman and Shambala festival, and garnering high praise from publications such as CLASH, MTV and Girls Underground Music for her gigs and song releases. On the night she’ll be spinning a variety of tunes that reflect her wide ranging musical influences as an artist, from House to Garage to Hip Hop. Joining her will be long-time LADY resident and DJ veteran Cyndi from the ‘Handson Family’ – from whom we can expect all manner of Funk, Soul, broken beats and general good vibeage.

From the Maze side it will be the two founders, Alex & James and resident supremo Jack Waltham, with our tried and trusted blend of upbeat House, Disco and Afrobeat which always seems to chime well with the Folklore crowd. Like last time we’ve got both rooms from 8 to 3am and it’s the day after Halloween, so we’re expecting a bit of a riot.
